Silly Sely

(What to be...)
Sitting on the Water
The Little boys and their gold fish

What to be but a butterfly
from every flower to every flower
to take in all the fragrences

What to be but a bumble bee
from every flower to every flower
to carry away all the pollen

Mostly to be a fine feathered bird
from every flower to every flower
chasing both bee and butter fly

Sitting on the water

A dragon fly landed on my shoe
before he could think of something to do
before I could get up and say "what the hey"
he spread his wings and flew away

Silly dragon fly

A little fish nibbled on my toe
while I didn't even realize or know
he took a big piece of my little toe nail
and boy did I let out quite a wail

Silly little fish

And over swam a little duck
he came over to try out his luck
but oh my gosh I had no food
and the little duck he quacked and he cooed

Silly little duck

(a sad story)

The little boys and their gold fish

These two little guys were so sad because of yesterday
Daddy took them to the Seine to let the gold fish swim away
They said their words and waved the gold fish goodbye
But little did they know the fishy's would surely die
in the river that flows through Paris

The sun came out though in remembrence of the two fish
The two boys thought that was what the fish would wish
On top of the bank the boys stood dreaming of their little friends
The little fish only met an untimely end
in the river that flows through Paris
