Bet You Didn't Know
You take the cork from the bottle put the bottle on the table
Take a glass from the self but only if your able
Pour the contents in the glass and drink it on down
How smooth it goes
You take a meal from the fridge and put it in the oven
Give the oven tender lovin as you turn her on and up
Go and set the table as you wait for your supper
Oh how good it smells
When you've done eating put the dishes in the sink
Go and get the bottle and have another drink
Maybe take a seat and kick up your feet
Digest for awhile
Make yourself comfy put the pillow behind your head
And don't forget to pick up the book you still haven't read
Turn to the spot where last night you dropped off and

After one chapter you put the book down
And you walk to the kitchen where the dishes have drown
In the soapy soapy water you made for their bath
You are a murderer
Well you didn't even ask if the dishes could swim
No you just plopped them all in on a peronal whim

Back in the cupboard to await another day

Some waves are large
and some waves are small
and sometimes there aren't waves at all
Most things are beautifull
Are they not?
And yet all things of beauty seem to have been caught
All words have been spoken
at least once or twice
and yet the ones I hear aren't so very nice
All words have been written
so many times
Used in communication to speak our minds

He seems so amused

and the latter of the two always seems to break

and then they wander around wondering what's it all about

You wake up in the morning and the dream is all gone
Is this reality? Where did I go wrong
Could I go back in time with the knowledge I have now
Maybe change the world for the better but I wouldn't know how
It's a pity we only learn from the things we do wrong

The clock is ticking on ever so fast and our fate will come soon
And I don't want to be last
Maybe you think I'm morbid talking of such things
When there are so many other things to talk about
