Little Em once again © Sely Friday 1998
I'd like to tell you a story,
about two little fishy's in their bowl.
One of them lived to a ripe old age,
but the other one never grew old.
They started as friends, and were till the end,
but that's not where the story begins.
It was a long time ago, in the store window,
where my cousin saw a fishy swim.
She said "Hey fishy, look at you,
 will you be my friend?"
"Now I must think of a fitting name,
so I think I'll call you Em."

So for a couple of weeks Em swam around,
 in her little old bowl.
But she got kind of lonely,
so my cousin went to her to consol
She said "Hey fishy, look at you,
 do you need another friend?"
"Yes indeed" Em she said,
 "I can no longer pretend."
"I am a fishy, covered with scales,
and you are covered with skin.
I need a fishy friend,
someone with whom I can swim."

So a short while later, back from the store,
and with a bag in her hand,
My cousin she had met with,
 the little fishy's demand.
She said, "Hey fishy, lookee here,
 I got you another pal.
Now I must think of a fitting name,
so I think I'll call you Al."
So for a couple of weeks, they both had fun,
 and just swam around.
Till that fatefull day in July,
 when little Al he drown.

Well the story goes, and I don't really know,
but this is what I was told:
My cousin came home one day,
and both fishys were floating in their bowl.
She said "Hey fishys, what's going on?"
"Now don't you go drowning on me!"
She scooped them from their bowl, pumped their gills,
a trying to make them breathe.
With a flipper and a flop, Em she revived,
so she got put back in her bowl.
CPR on this fishy had worked,
 and had taken it's toll.
But with little Al things were bad,
now I'm just stating the fact.
CPR on him couldn't,
 wouldn't bring him back.
She said "Hey little fishy, don't go,
don't go dying on us please!"
"Yes Em and I we love you,
and it's you who we needs."

But to no avail did the fishy prevail,
 to come back to life.
And the poor dead fishy,
was leaving behind, his widowed wife.
Now Em and my cousin they mourned,
 the passing of their friend.
The wonderfull little fishy,
who's life had come to an end.
And the causes are known, the fishys were thrown,
an O.D. of O2.    (overdose of oxygen)
Cause the pump to the bowl, had lost control,
 and become confused.
But thats been arranged, and these lives have changed,
my cousin and her fishy Em.
They survived and still hold alive,
memories of their old fishy friend.
So with the story told, another fish grows old;
 my cousin's fishy Em.
They're both thinking, of the good old days.
And Fishy Al is still their friend...

Let's Go Down to the Wharf and Jump In

Hey Hey can't you see
There's a low tide staring at me
But I think she's coming in, a little later

So if we want to go for a swim
We'd beter say the word before we jump in
"GERONIMO" as we hit the water

And heh I know IF I cannot swim
I still know that I'm jumping in
So just you stick around and watch me

Oh its going to be mighty cold
I think its cause we're all growing old
So come on old foggies lets swim

(Chorus)
So lets all go down to the wharf and jump in
We don't have to wait for the tide to come back in
Cause we all know that we're not wimps
So lets go down to the wharf and jump in

This year a moose came around
Enthralled us and then swam to town
Well the water wasn't to cold for her

And the dogs jump in many times a day
Barking and splashing while they play
The water ain't cold for them, No SIR!

I guess they're all young at heart
So dignity must play no part
THEY JUST GO AND JUMP IN!!!!

They don't tip toe down the stairs
They jump right in without any cares
GERONIMO strikes again...

(Chorus)
So let's go down to the wharf and jump in
Lest we forget what we're missin'
Cause you know that it's refreshin'
So lets go down to the wharf and jump in.

(Final Chorus)
Let's go down to the wharf and jump in
Lest we forget how to swim
Cause you know how long it has been
So let's go down to the wharf and jump in

I think I'll take a cup
Of coffee to push my brain
Into thinking it's awake
So my body won't complain

Yummy coffee with two sugars

And I'll put in those two lumps,
Of sugar to stimulate
Some of my synopci
Well...just those that were up late

Hopefully this will work,
So that this paper will get done
And so I'll be able to go,
Outside and sit in the sun!

Mijn lichaam

Mijn tenen zijn van mijn voet,
Mijn voet is van mijn been,
Daar heb ik nou twee van,
En naar mijn heupen gaan ze heen.

Het zelfde geldt voor armen,
Elbogen, handen en vingers,
Die komen samen bij mijn schouders,
Waar mijn lichaam kan beginnen.

Op die lichaam zit mijn hoofd,
Waarmee mijn gezintuigen zijn getrouwd,
Om te genieten van het leven,
Zo is mijn lichaam (ongeveer) gebouwd.

A Flower for the Sea Princess

May Flowers

(for The Sea Princess)

May flowers
have many powers,
in the hands of those
who have recieved,

But these powers
are only devoured,
in the hands of those
who really truely believe

So 'may' flowers arrive,
in your hands a.s.a.p.
Cause I think you're one of 'those'
who really truely believes

Email Junkie

I'm an email junkie
Stealing time online
Just to get my fix
Let me feel so fine

I'm an email junkie
Hitched behind these keys
Waiting for a message
Please please please

I'm an email junkie
On "New Mail" I get high
Oh what a rush that is
It keeps me alive

A using and abusing
I'm an email junkie
Cause email is not just cool
But really really funky!

Meggie's Boots

In San Fran it's been raining
And El Nino gets the blame
But what of poor little Meggie
Who's been walking in the rain?

Her feet are all wet
Because she has no boots to wear
But poor little Meggie
Should not dispair

In the rain you can dance
In the rain you can sing
And these fresh rains
Are what makes Spring

They trick flowers
Suck them from the earth
Everything including rain
Has it's worth...

But back to your boots
Or lack of perhaps I should say
Why not run round outside
And tell the rain to go away?

You can always ask for a check
Get it come come back another day
Might as well get the rain over with
Just get it out of the way

Boots or no boots
Doesn't really matter at all
Just let the rain come
There's only so much that can fal1?!

And as to wet feet...
Well, just think the tide is really high
And perhaps in another six hours
You'll be really dry!
